About Noise Suppression Sheet Materials
The need for more compact and multi-functional electronic devices requires a large number of electronic components to be mounted on PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) with extremely high density. The emitted noise by the ICs and cables is becoming increasingly important. During product design, it is difficult to estimate emissions requiring noise suppression. A solution that is easily implemented is to use flexible noise suppression sheets, which can be punched and cut, and processed into various shapes, including high permeability nanocrystalline tapes for locations that are susceptible to noise emissions.
Our Noise Suppression Sheets and tape materials are available for low-frequency Magnetic 50Hz to 100kHz noise, to EMI noise in the 100MHz to 6GHz range. These are flexible sheets, tapes, and films which, depending on the frequency range of noise suppression needed, are composed of different materials and constructions.

Nanocrystalline Magnetic Shielding
This is a series of thin and flexible magnetic shielding sheets made of high permeability nanocrystalline ribbon, laminated with PET films to form Nanocrystalline Magnetic Shielding. The sheets are thin, light weight and flexible, and easy to handle. They have superior magnetic shielding effect especially in frequencies below several 100kHz.
One layer can shield about 100µT and multiple layers can shield strong magnetic fields. Bending, cutting and punching has only a small deterioration in shielding effect. This allows the material to be applied on curved surfaces and cut or punched into various shapes. Rolls are suitable for large-scale magnetic shields such as in a shielding room.Construction

Shielding Effect of Magnetic Field at 50Hz
Thickness of grain-oriented Si (Silicon) steel in the above chart corresponds to one layer of M6 or approximately three layers of M4.
For toroidal transformer magnetic shielding is applied to the OD of the transformer. When Si steel is used it is the same as the transformer core material. M6, which is 0.35 mm thick, or M4 which is 0.27 mm thick (3 layers are applied), which equals 0.81mm approximating 0.7mm in the above chart.
Applications
Nanocrystalline Magnetic Shielding has an extremely good weight to noise suppression ratio, making it an excellent choice to mitigate the magnetic noise generated from inductors in electronic devices, which are easily affected by magnetic fields or fluctuating magnetic fields. It is also used for magnetic shielding of buildings adjacent to power lines or power distribution installations.
Nanocrystalline Noise Suppression Sheets - For EMI
Halogen-free noise suppression sheet with flame retardance composed of high performance nanocrystalline soft magnetic material. The nanocrystalline material is powdered and bonded together with resin and formed into sheets. These Nanocrystalline Noise Suppression Sheetshave high suppression effect on radiation noise and feature excellent complex relative permeability, resulting in high suppression of radiation noise in the range from 0.1 to 10 GHz.
Nanocrystalline Noise Suppression Sheets are flexible and easy to handle, punch, and cut in various shapes. They can even be applied to curved surfaces.
Applications
Highly effective at suppressing radiation and cross-talk noise in multilayer circuit boards, various electronic devices, flexible flat cables, and digital device chassis.
