Category: Amorphous / Nanocrystalline cores
These metals are produced using rapid solidification where molten metal is cast into thin ribbons. This results in high permeability due to no crystalline magnetic anisotropy. Thickness varies from 25 µm for amorphous to 13 µm for nanocrystalline metal. The ribbon is processed by annealing, wound into cores, formed into sheets, or powdered and formed into cores or sheets.
